Squash Update....
|
Squash is a very special soul who was hit by a car in October of 1998. He suffered from severe injuries to his jaw upper pallet and lost an eye. A month ago he went in for yet another surgery to reconstruct his lower jaw In the hopes that this surgery would completely repair it and he would eat unassisted. As always Squash remains a fighter with incredible will. I am happy to report that the surgery was a success. On June 2nd Squash finally ate on his own unassisted for the first time since the horrible accident. He now can look foward to leading a normal life independant and strong. Thanks to everyone who continues to love and support him even when things appeared grim. His will to live is truly incredible and inspires me every day...
(This photo was taken soon after his surgery.)

Summer Pet Tips...
|
Remember NEVER leave your pet in a hot car. The tempature can soar and cause injury or even death.
Make sure your pet always has fresh water. It is easy for your pet to become over heated much like people do in the summer heat.
When walking always keep your pet leashed. Not only for the saftey of other people, but also for the safety of your pet. Some dogs can become aggressive around other animals and could easily hurt your pet. Also their is always a threat of a motor vehicle accidently hitting an unleashed animal.
Be an informed consumer when purchasing flea and tick products. Many of them do not work or contain harsh chemicals that can harm your pet. Consult your vet on which products are most effective and would best suite you and your pets needs.

HELLO!!!! AND MEOW....
|
Hello! My name is Bonnie I am 3 years old and I love to talk and am very affectionate. About 4 months ago I was not feeling well and my mom took me to the animal hospital. I had a blood disorder and they discovered a heart problem. I now take medication every day and it has really helped! I am back to my old self again. The picture on the right is me as a little baby after my mom took me and my brother into her home. I was a homeless feline living in a barn and an old abandoned car now my favorite place to catch a nap is in this basket. My mom is still amazed at how I can squeeze myself into it, but to me it just looks like the perfect place to catch a snooze!!
